I loooovvveee November. Reason number one: it's my birthday month! Reason number two: it sort of kicks off the Holiday season. I love the Holidays!! My Bday (yes, it's a holiday), Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's! Poinsettas, wreaths, boots, cookeis, hot chocolate, baking, Charlie Brown re-runs, cutting down a Christmas tree.. I'll take it all!
I will say I think I love it so much because my Grandma and Mom always made the season so special. Some of my greatest childhood memories are from this time of year. Shopping with my Grandma for Christmas presents ( she always bought me things and then let me have them early!), finding my Christmas gifts under my parent's bed (like the time they bought me ballet slippers and I wore them every day durring Christmas break and then put them back in the box and under the bed before they came home from work).. the list goes on!
Some of my favorite Holiday Traditions are:
1. Recent tradition: Black Friday shopping with my Hubs. He seriously goes in to super shopper mode, it's so fun.
2. Peppermint schnopps and hot chocolate. My mom serves this every Christmas Eve.
3. Making fun of my Mom for falling asleep in church. She does every year and we love to make fun of her, this is pre schnopps, of course :)
4. Cutting down a Christmas tree. Super fun!!! And super cold.
5. Getting new pj's from my mom every Christmas Eve! It's mandatory to change in to them before you can get your schnopps and hot chocolate!
What are yours??
Who, me?

Things My Mom Says
Let me start this one by telling you my mom is not crazy. We might like to tell her she is, but she isn't. She's super funny and a lil nerdy. But we love her.
Her latest thing: Red Faced B!tch. She calls her self this at the gym. Her sister has been trying to convince her to do a half marathon with her. She claims she isn't going to do it, but all of a sudden wants to start running every day and says she needs to build up her endurance. I'm not sure what for since she is "not doing the half marathon". Anyway, when texting her sister to tell her her progress and how far she has been running she gets the response text: " :) ". Somehow she conjured up that the smiley face means, "I can run farther and faster than you, you red faced beyotch". So now, every day when we do cardio (we work out together most weekday mornings) she finishes cardio by pointing to her self (while smiling and nodding) and saying "red faced b!tch"

Note to Self
I was typing away at my super-cool very first blog posting. I went to add a link from my favorite's list and BAM..all of my post was gone!
Note to self: do not navigate away from this page until you have SAVED your work.
Well a little about me, since you are reading my blog and all :)
I'm soon to be 26. Married (for 3 whole months now!) to the greatest guy I've ever met. I seriously didn't know you could love someone so much until I met Ben. We live about five minutes down the way from my mom with our dog, Butterscotch. Yes, her name is Butterscotch, and No, I didn't choose her name. We got her from a shelter 3 years ago - she was 10. Ben has tried to change her name, but she's just not having it. I love her, and it couldn't have anything to do with the fact that she's completely a mamma's girl.
I love frozen yogurt, shopping (especially for shoes), pizza, the ocean, coffee, cooking, baking, reading, running (sometimes more than others), and I seem to love to spend more than I make. WHOOPS!
I started this blog for 2 reasons. One: I read a few other people's blogs, and I'm seriously entertained by them. Like this one. I have also found tons of cool stuff - recipes, gift ideas, decorating ideas - you name it. Two: I'm bored. My husband has been working a ton. I've cleaned my house, done my laundry, gone shopping, stalked facebook, taken my dog on super long runs/walks, you get the picture.. and now on to blogging!
